Shameless (US) Season 3 - Episode 1 to Episode 3 Recap and Review

Shameless (US) Season 3 - Episode 1 to Episode 3 Recap and Review. Talking about what I watched and experienced in episode 1, episode 2 and episode 3 of season 3 and kind of giving a review too of it as I share.

MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT

Season Started watching: 26 August 2020 

EPISODE 1: EL GRAN CANON 

Yeah finally I started Season 3 of Shameless US. First episode was pretty nice I'll say and I enjoyed it more than the first episode of Season 2 because this season is giving me some different vibes which are very damn amazing. It starts with Fiona waking up, first I thought it would be winter and snowing this time but it still feels like summer, I guess they skipped the whole winter setting. So she wakes up kinda late and goes downstairs and I see Steve doing all the work she used to do like making breakfast, waking up everyone for it, packing lunches and all kinds of stuff. I didn't know he was like that, who would do household work lol. That's great for Fiona because she can have fun too now and be even less responsible. 

Then I see Debbie outside making notes for Frank who didn't come home since like last 107 days, around that. The last time he was seen when season 2 ended, I am sure about it then he was just gone. Debbie was really missing Frank a lot but Fiona was like he always disappears and always comes back so she don't need to worry. Comes the scene of Frank, waking up and just by the color of everything I could feel he is out of country and I was right. It was strange at first but then Frank meets people and one of them tells him he is in Mexico. Frank asks if he missed Christmas and the guy said almost Easter lol.

 He was kind of lost here with no money, identity and most importantly a passport. Then Steve tries to make a little love with Fiona but she says she has work, I could feel she doesn't feel him much anymore and I was right there too haha. They have been living together for more than 110 days or like 4 months. Then comes the scene of Lip and Ian escaping and running from security guards of an university with a suitcase which had valuable stuff. The chase scene goes on for some time. Later Ian escapes safely and Lip gets caught and cuffed by the security guards. We see Sheila and Jody together on bed then, the baby was crying and Sheila says it is Jody's turn to calm him down but Jody doesn't wake up so she shouts and curses at Jody which was badass. Sheila changed too I guess lol but they were annoyed from taking care of the baby basically. 

Later there comes the scene of Frank at the Mexico-US border and he just goes to the person who lets you out without being in the line lol. He says he is American and just blabars some stuff, the officer obviously got he is an American but he couldn't let him out without passport. He even asked Frank about some id or anything so they can make a temporary passport but Frank had nothing. He says Frank to clean himself and come back with ID. Frank failed to cross the border, in legal terms for now. 

Next we see Steve at home, making food for Liam and then he gives it to Liam and sits on the couch, but he kept looking outside at the window to the streets and there were two black cars outside. Someone was waiting and spying on him and he knew he is in trouble. He finally decides to go out only to see both cars go and then comes back towards him, Steve tries to run but he couldn't as he was surrounded by people with arms now from the car. Then a person gets out of the black car and he introduces himself as the father of Estefania. I loved this scene because I wanted to see who he is and what he does. Drug lord. Steve obviously knew him and was too scared. Estefania's father asks about his daughter, that where is she with a gun pointed towards his head. Next scene is Lip at the court and he just pleads not guilty by spitting some amazing facts. Then we see Fiona at her current job cleaning literally poop, what a dirty job Fiona. A house full of poop. Frank calls her from the border, but she declines the call because she thinks it is a fraud international call. Frank disappointed again. Mandy and Ian together bails Lip out of the cell and Lip is free now. He got what he needed which was a laser tech that he would use in a rover or robot for a competition. Next and a really amazing scene comes, Steve and Estefania's dad visiting Estefania's apartment. 

They meet and Estefania can speak little English now and she looks even more cute until her boyfriend comes out and Estefania's father shoots him in the head cold. And then shoots more. Estefania cries, Steve was shocked and scared to extreme levels. I could feel the reaction on his face. He knew he is in real trouble now and can be next. But luckily also he is the husband of Estefania. We see more scenes on Lip and Mandy testing his laser tech, at first it fails. Then Frank meets a guy at the border who says he can help him get out of the border and so he joins him. We see some border escaping scenes where Frank gets caught by some Mexican drug smugglers. 

In this episode there were too many scene cuts. In one moment after Estefania's boyfriend getting shot. Estefania's dad says that Steve is her daughter's husband and expects full loyalty for it, they drill legs out of her boyfriend who was shot and later her dad asks Steve to take Estefania out for dinner. We see some scenes on Debbie missing Frank and Fiona saying he will be back, scene where Mandy stays over at Lip's room and him making his robot tech better. Then Steve comes back at night burning his clothes and Fiona comes to him. Steve was basically burning his clothes full of blood but Steve didn't tell anything that happened there, to Fiona. She just thought he is acting a bit weird disappearing. 

They kiss and do stuff. In a scene we see Ian and Steve's dad in the hotel room having gay fun lol and Ian doing his school work. He still tells him that he has a boyfriend who will be back referring to Mickey and Steve's dad says he has a wife. Other scenes had Frank finding people and he told them he wants to go back to US at any cost and he can do anything, and so they agree to it. It was a work of getting a fake passport for Frank and smuggling cocaine to the US. Frank gets the passport, a clean fresh look, new name and stuff with 18 coke bundles up in his butt. He crosses the border to US quite easily but with a lot of coke inside him. Then we see Lip and Mindy working in school at Lip's robot. 

There comes a teacher who tells Lip that he needs to do more at school, get in college, get masters, get doctorate and make a huge amount of money. That's what they wanted to see but Lip wasn't interested and says why everyone wants me to go to college. But the teacher says he has to. There it was revealed Lip had 4.6 GPA which was an excellent score, even Mindy gets impressed asking Lip how smart he is. At Gallagher's house, morning we see Steve taking kids into the car to drop them at school, Fiona says they can have fun when kids will be at school but Steve says he has a meeting and can't. Fast forward a little, Fiona goes back to the night club chick and asks her for any job, she offers Fiona for club party promotion and she accepts it after some time for 2000$ and says she can prove herself to her. 

Then we see Steve in a yacht in middle of a great lake and then we see Estefania and her dad. They talk about some things mainly about loyalty and Estefania's dad scares Steve in an awesome way of shooting stuff with his weapons and says that Estefania is her wife and he will need to stick to her, he can still meet Fiona and do stuff but Estefania should be his main priority and not get in any trouble. Steve accepts, he had no other choice. In the robot battle show, Lip, Ian and Mandy comes with their creation and fight off. Lip wins by frying his opponent with his super impressive laser technology.

 He is the new champion, they had named their robot Frank and win the prize with $400. During the end, Frank finally comes back to home after delivering his drugs from his butt. Everyone was surprised to see him after like 110 days but didn't show any love, except Debbie who hugs him hard. Everyone acted like they don't care and continued in their conversation with each other. I felt bad for Frank because nobody really cares about him. And then there is a scene of Frank pooping out but it was the 19th left bundle of coke he didn't give to those drug people. He thanks Sheila for this. The end lol. Great starting for Season 3 of Shameless US. Let's see what happens after.  

EPISODE 2: THE AMERICAN DREAM

Episode 2 was good, the American Dream as it says and you guess it, it's about making money. It starts with Fiona waking up in shock having a panic attack, Steve wakes up too because of that. She suddenly remembers that she has to pay the property tax bill which is around $1000 and is due since like two weeks. She rushed, takes a shower but Steve comes in while she was having a shower and starts taking dump with a fart. Fiona gets disgusted by it and says he shouldn't do that. I agree, that's gross lol private things like this should be done in private. Wtf Steve? Then Franks starts coming upstairs to find a bed to sleep on. Carl, Ian and Lip starts rushing to protect their beds and stop Frank from taking it. 

Fiona rushes and does it too, nobody wants Frank on their bed. Debbie still allows him to sleep on her bed, the only person who cares about her since he came back but it won't last much lol. Then we see scene where Lip argues to Fiona over property tax bill which is due and finds out Fiona spent $2000 on her club promotion and she had to spend money from it to pay the tax which she did not. Lip gets pissed about it and says he should have asked her and she won't get rich like that. Also Fiona doesn't like Mandy and her presence in Gallagher's house. We see Steve finding out that he is being spied all the time by the man of Estefania's dad. 

There is a black car outside all the time and follows wherever Steve goes. He tells Steve he won't leave as it is his job and Steve needs to find a job for living and don't steal cars or sell drugs to make money, anything that is troublesome. Mickey finally releases for jail and is back, actually 4 months earlier than he was supposed to. While Ian was having gay fun with some random guy, Mickey comes and kicks out the guy Ian was knocking. They talk and Mickey says he missed Ian for the first time and other stuff then they have fun together. We see some scenes of Sheila being very tired of managing the baby and making mistakes and Jody is tired too. They think to call Debbie for babysitting. In some scenes Fiona finally starts working for the club party she has to promote, looking for boozes and stuff and organizing things with the help of Veronica and Kevin as they supply all the drinks so Fiona earns more out of the party. 

She had a lot of hope in herself that she will do brilliant which is good. Lip and Mandy hang around. Steve decides to not go to Fiona's club party as she had invited him because if he goes there, that black car guy will come too with him and he didn't want Fiona to know anything about it or that he is in trouble. He makes an excuse that he is sick and fake vomits in the toilet. Fiona says okay he can stay at home. Lip tries to find different ways to raise money for the property tax bill. Fiona has to spend more and more on her club promotion because of various reasons and she asks Steve to loan her some money but at this point Steve is literally poor and couldn't help her. 

Still Kevin and Veronica help Fiona on this. Fiona was ready to host the party. During the night when Fiona and Veronica was there, she tries to find people with huge networks so that she could use it to invite more and more people, she finds a guy and Veronica steals her phone for contacts. It kind of works and the party attracts a lot of people. At the same time Lip was helping indirectly. He was charging people for parking to Fiona's party and scammed them saying there is a famous singer there singing. Something like that, Carl and Mandy helps too. Lip on his own manages to earn over $1000. There's also a scene where Frank invites two of his friends to stay at Gallagher's house but none of the kid agrees, Frank forcefully tried to go upstairs to sleep and everyone tries to stop him until it becomes a mess when he breaks Debbie's project. 

Until now Debbie was the only one helping Frank but she gets into rage mode after Frank breaks her project and beats her so much with a pillow stuffed with something, she beats Frank so much and everyone kicks him out. This episode had so many little moments that I am not even putting them all here lol, Debbie also babysit Sheila's baby. After Frank gets kicked out and he goes to Sheila's house to stay and they only allowed him after he calmed the baby with his drug trick which puts the baby to sleep. Fiona had made over $10,000 in the party but after covering all the expenses and paying workers, she got only $900 with $100 loss. She was disappointed.

 When she came home and told Lip about it, Lip was pissed so much. There is one thing Frank did which was the worst, it was he called Child Welfare Services and tells them about Gallagher's and house address saying all children live without any parental support and their drunk dad beats them. He did so that they take them away from the house or something like that. It's so bad.  

I missed many small details in this episode, I mean writing it off because I watched it yesterday and writing about it now. Still I guess it's enough. 

EPISODE 3: MAY I TRIM YOUR HEDGES? 

Episode 3 was great man. It was kind of crazy which I missed lol. In last episode Kevin's real wife had showed up to their home and Veronica had to meet too, Kevin's wife was with a kid named Kyle and she said he is her son. Because of this Veronica stayed whole night at Gallagher's. Veronica was really sad and couldn't sleep because she thought Kevin may leave her and because of the kid who showed up. Kevin always wanted a kid. Frank at Sheila's house decides to take Hymie the baby out for a walk with money from Sheila as she and Jody were too tired because of the baby. And of course Frank used that money to go to the bar and buy drinks.

 There in TV it was shown that a cancer kid got visited by sports team and signed a ball for the kid which could be worth thousands of dollars. This ticked an idea into Frank's mind that he could do something similar and get money with Hymie. He takes him to the doctor where cancer or kids who are dying comes. He tells the lady there Hymie has down syndrome and stuff and tries to get an opportunity but the lady says they only help cancer kids or dying ones and not with down syndrome. 

So he cries and says actually his other kid has cancer lol. He decides to shave Carl's head and tells him he has some brain cancer. Carl doesn't know what is going on so he just agrees with everything. Carl is such a sweet boy haha and Frank, crazy as always. Oh and no one from the Child Welfare came as it was shown in last episode, that's good. Lip asks why Frank is shaving Carl's head but he just says he has lice.

 Meanwhile before Fiona and Debbie went to the grocery super Store to buy stuff where Fiona gets an opportunity to get a job because an employee had just left due to pressure. But the manager there didn't want to give job to Fiona without getting a job from her. You get it, he was getting food as he was talking about meat, hot dogs and stuff. Fiona instantly got his intentions and she left. Then on the city bus to home, Fiona and Debbie were going. There was a man at last row of the bus looking at Debbie doing stuff he should not do.

 Debbie was disgusted and Fiona noticed so he cursed and kicked him out throwing stuff. They reported it to the police about the incidence at home telling everyone what had happened and the police was a perv too giving Fiona her direct number. Yea it is messed up. Then later Lip designed a software which tells about child rapists or pedophiles living around, and they find one around so everyone gangs up and decided to go there and beat up. Lip asks Steve too but he rejects and he asks Steve he is acting cagey but then understands Steve is in trouble and goes without him. 

They go to a house and when the gang open doors, there is a female and they expected some guy. Her name was Blake and she already served her punishment before. Everyone said she is harmless now but Lip disagrees and says he will find out soon. At that moment Mickey goes to knock a lady at next house, Ian was there and he felt offended by it. Later when Ian and Mickey were in store, Steve's dad comes to meet Ian and hints him for a meetup. Mickey asks about him to Ian and he says we just knock up. 

Mickey felts a little jealous or say offended by it. At this point Mickey and Ian have started to develop feelings for each other. We see scenes on Kevin and her wife spending time and drinking beer, then Debbie and Kyle hanging out and Debbie has her first kiss with Kyle. Sweet. Veronica gets jealous by all Kevin and her wife meet but before Kevin prints a divorce paper he has to get signed but he totally forgets about it because of drinking. Veronica feels sad. On the other hand Lip disguises himself as a random kid and goes to Blake's house as an excuse to trim her hedges of the garden. 

He does things as to make Blake get attracted and do things she isn't supposed to do. Like taking off his shirt saying it's hot, asking for a juice then getting inside her house for sandwiches. Blake seems all nervous and her hormones acting up seeing a kid. As Lip was eating sandwiches, Blake tells him he has butter on his lip but Lip acted as if he couldn't clean it then asks her to do it and they just kiss then. Blake tells Lip to not tell anyone about it and he promises he won't. As they kiss, Lip secretly takes a photo of it, but then it goes even crazier. She asks Lip to come in the bedroom with peanut butter and jelly. And he goes, and the things that happen there was something Lip couldn't resist. He just enjoys. Steve goes with Beto (the black car driver who always follows him) to Estefania for taking fake wedding photos. 

There are some moments of Estefania trying her wedding dress then they take photos. Then on the car as they were going back, Estefania's hormones gets off the chart as she feels too hot with Steve doing things that was watery. Whatever. I can't even put those things into words here properly lol. But damn she is a crazy girl. It was kind of like cheating with Fiona but we can't say that as he was forced to do that, no other choice. Beto says Steve is like rolling stones which Steve denies later.  In a scene Frank takes Carl to those cancer doctors or whatever they are and asks the lady for a sports team meetup. He does his Frank things but only gets a summer camp offer for Carl.

 Carl was satisfied with it. Ian and Steve's dad have a date in a cafe and Mickey watches it from outside getting super jealous, as they were going outside Mickey comes to them and beats Steve's dad then both Ian and him runs away as people call the police. Mickey really likes Ian. Fiona and Veronica go to that store again to record that managers action and black mail him into getting Fiona a job. They succeed. Later that night when Mandy and Lip was doing stuff together, Lip was trying the peanut butter and jam trick with her and she was like when did he learn to do that until she catches he was with someone else. And Lip tells he was with that teacher to record. 

Mandy leaves furiously. Then as the Gallagher family was having dinner, Kevin comes and apologizes to Veronica that he would never leave her at any cost. Then Kevin's wife come and tells that Kyle isn't even her son or Kevin's but her sister. She abuses Veronica and Kevin and Veronica beats up her and gets the divorce paper signed, then kicks her out. Kyle doesn't go with her but stays with Debbie. It was such an awesome crazy scene, two ladies fighting lol. Veronica and Kevin reunites. Later Mandy visits Blake's house and tells her to get out of the house and place as her brothers were digging a grave in her garden. Blake leaves. But her brothers do put a person in a grave, I think that was Blake lol.

 Wow Great episode but now I am kind of getting tired writing about every episode this long. Bored of it so I may stop and do a big review after finishing the season instead. I like to do what I feel. Let's see.
