Shameless (US) Season 2 - Episode 6, 7, 8 & 9 Recap, Review & Personal Experience

Shameless (US) Season 2 - Episode 6, Episode 7, Episode 8 and Episode 9 Review and Recap. I cover 4 episodes of Shameless (US) and give my personal experience touch to it. I'm really enjoying this show to be honest, I am so glad I found it. Late but worth it.

EPISODE 6: CAN I HAVE A MOTHER

Episode 6 of Shameless Season 2 was another amazing episode. This episode was mostly based on Frank's mother or Grandmother of the family who finally got out of prison after serving like 12 years I guess. But damn she is like really badass type. The episode started with the grandmother coming to the Gallagher's house, it was Debbie who noticed first and she said to her who are you, and she said I'm your grandmother sweetheart. Now things changed after she came, she was a meth dealer in the past and blew the lab. Some innocent lives were lost. She asked Carl to drill a part inside the bathroom and there she had a gun, money and some stuff stored. She went to Frank at the bar and said we have some business to do, they went to a doctor who worked with the granny when she used to run the lab and asked for the 200,000 dollars she was supposed to have but the doctor took. 

Well the starting bits showed that Frank is really afraid of her mother and that she could do anything, Frank somehow managed to trick and get 75,000 dollars and gave mother 50,000 dollars only but while they were in the truck going back to home. Frank's mother hit him with a screw driver or something and said give me rest of the money. He had to give all of that, they didn't get 200,000 dollars but 75k only. There were scenes when Lip was trying to get attention of Ian back but he just said nothing and that made Lip get more angry at the store breaking fruits and stuff. In the entire episode Frank was trying to manipulate Sheila and get the insurance money of Eddie saying that he deserves it and he will take care but instead Eddie had chosen Karen for the money before he ended his life. That made Frank angry and he said things he shouldn't have said, Sheila kicked out Frank. Now I found that all the time Frank was with Sheila and at her home being so good, was only for the money mainly. He wanted the insurance money which was around 75,000 dollars but failed. 

He really only cares about money, damn it Frank. In this episode, wedding between Karen and her guy happened too. It was a mess though because Lip was there and the grandmother of Gallagher. Sheila had got drunk during the party and said some crazy stuff about Frank, Eddie and then the grandmother who had a gun and did shooting, no one got hurt and even police came called by Frank but Tony managed the situation. This was such an awesome scene. In one scene Frank was trying to shoot her mother while she was sleeping but did not. Also Frank is back to the family house after getting kicked out of Sheila's house. 

And the most important thing and my favorite part is Steve. I saved it for the last, during the beginning I saw Steve had a girlfriend living with him who can't even speak English and is from Brazil according to him. She only speaks Portuguese and is really hot. Steve seems richer now. He met Fiona and Lip and asked Fiona to do a double date and she can bring Adam but the date got messed up after Fiona got to know that Steve got married with that Portuguese girl. Adam was like what is going on during the date.

 Fiona went to the washroom and Steve came too, he explained and then they started kissing and stuff. Steve said he missed her and that the marriage is just for his business. When they came back to the table, Adam realized they were together in the washroom doing stuff and left. Steve and her new wife was also at Karen's wedding and this was the time when everyone saw the Portuguese girl too. Then later Debbie revealed that Steve was faking his name and from where he is, that made Fiona angry at him more. But the scene when Fiona got to know that Steve is married, it was priceless. The feelings going on that time was crazy. The acting is so great. I shipped both since starting but Steve is a crazy guy and I feel there is more about him than it is showed till now, more secrets. 

Grandmother coming back will change a lot of things now in the later episodes, I know she won't last much but she will really do super crazy things making the show much better. I feel it. Frank may start spending more time with his own family now, I feel bad for him but he is just too trash. But also it is perfect for him. I am not seeing much about Ian and Mickey anymore, maybe later more things will happen. Oh and it seems Steve has left his car stealing business and is into drugs now, it is the reason for his new wife. This series is crazy awesome and hilarious. I'm watching the best thing right now.  

EPISODE 7: A BOTTLE OF JEAN NATE 

Episode 7 showed what I wanted to see and that was pretty quick. A lot of things twisted here. First it was Frank helping her mom all the time, even bathing her and changing her diapers. Felt bad for him, he wishes he gets rid of her and it happened. How? She had made a meth lab over night in the kitchen which blew up accidentally by Carl. Fiona was like this is it, it has to be over so she met Frank at the bar that we need to find a way to get rid of her as she is pretty dangerous. They thought of things they could do so the police takes her back or to some mental hospital. Later it was found that she has stage four cancer and won't live long. So she is going to die soon lol. That was quick, I mean in last episode I was thinking she would do badass things but that is just sad.

 Then as Ethel had left with that Malik guy during last episode, maybe I forgot to mention before. Veronica and Kevin bought a pet rabbit and named it Ethel 2 to fill the emptiness. Jasmine, friend of Fiona who obviously likes her got an end too. First she invited Fiona, Kevin, Veronica to a boat party. They reached and saw Steve and his Portuguese wife were there too. Fiona wasn't happy seeing Steve because feelings but things happened, she got a lot of jealousy and sadness. Fiona just said to leave her completely alone and cried as Steve left. 

The boat party scene was fun, like Kevin getting really high off coke. Jasmine also kissed Fiona really hard which was a bad thing, and also said I love you. Steve had said to Fiona that he would leave his wife for her, and she said that then she can never be with him as he could do the same with her which is totally right. Only if he was single when he came back things could be different but then what will be the fun haha?

 Kevin's dad Stan was making more and more problems as he was really old so Veronica and Kevin decided to send him to the old people care hospital. And the most awesome part was Karen finally ditching her new husband, she is tired of him the way he is and now misses Lip back. During the pleasure moment between Karen and her husband, she was definitely not having fun so she shouted, threw things at him and kicked him out. 

She also got him to sign some documents. So Lip got Karen back now. Also Lip and Ian got into a bad fight which was told to do so by the grandma. No one really won, both got hurt then went to have a beer together. Problems seem to be solved between them two too. In this episode I saw a lot of things going back to track. Grandmother going away soon, Lip and Karen getting back together, Lip and Ian being cool together, probably the end of Jasmine, Veronica and Kevin will soon have an actual kid, Stan going away and more details I probably didn't mention. Gallagher family is full of crazy moments. 

Though I'll agree Karen was really stupid marrying that stupid guy in the first place and pushing away Lip. According to Lip, Karen's kid is his own. We will see more on that later. The meth lab scenes reminded me of Breaking Bad, what a masterpiece it was. It was so great on its own and Shameless is on its own. Boat party scenes made me wish I have a future like that where I have fun to the most extreme levels. You know live life to the best. Right now it is just me watching this show during a global pandemic. Don't know how Steve will find a way to get back to Fiona, excited about that. But the Portuguese girl is such a cutie. This is it about this episode, really enjoyed. 

EPISODE 8: PARENTHOOD

Episode 8 was kind of sad, it begins with Frank being at Sheila's house and I was surprised because I thought she won't accept Frank again after the last incident but guess I was wrong. He told Sheila about the cancer his mother has, at first it seemed emotional but later Frank says he is happy. Sheila said if there is someone who deserves cancer than it is Frank's mother lol. After the meth explosion happened in the last episode, Frank's mother was shifted to Sheila's house for clean air and breathing so Sheila started having time with her, and soon Karen's husband who got kicked out joined too.

 I definitely have to say this but he is such a nice guy, like really nice and helpful with a genuine heart. Sheila and the guy both helped Frank's mother in all kinds of stuff she needed in help with, like providing a bucket for peeing or drugs to make her feel better. Sheila felt sad for the pain she is experiencing and living last few days of her life and the mother started liking her too. But when Frank came, he injected himself to the drug that was going inside her mother so he could enjoy it too over night. 

But before this the morning before, when Frank had went out to buy groceries at Ian's store he caught Mickey and Ian doing fun behind. You get it. Mickey was like Frank has to die now else he will tell everyone about his gay relationship. He called out his gang to end Frank, trying to find him everywhere but failed to do so. Ian told Mickey to not do this as he will serve more jail time if gets caught, Ian even warned Frank about it but Frank was like I don't worry. We also saw Steve visiting with his wife, Fiona's home giving kids coffee and things to eat. 

He is trying to win Fiona back in front of his Portuguese wife who most probably doesn't understand what is going on and is on phone talking all the time. She is cute and funny in a weird way lol. Oh and Fiona told Lip to get back to school and she will get back to as a deal. So she did and so did he, but he got expelled later for abusing his teacher during the class and throwing a chair out of the window. More on that later. Karen and Lip also went to multiple places to adopt the upcoming child to some family and get money in return, Lip isn't really happy about it and Karen only cares about money and being free. 

Steve became the coach for the kids playing football helping Carl and other kids, I think Debbie kinda started liking Steve back as she hated him calling him Jimmy all the time. She still does but it's getting different. During the end part, Mickey and his gang finally found Frank going outside of the bar and decided to knock him out but sadly the police came and they got caught. That's poor but he deserves it, seriously Mickey is trash and Ian should find someone different. Grandmother also sent money she had to the kids and tried to get in front of the bus as she was outside with Karen's husband but didn't die there.

 The part where how she died was funny. She asked Sheila to find a way to end her life, and after multiple tries Sheila did it by using the pillow on her face. She is gone, she was sitting on her face with the pillow and then Frank came. Sheila said his mother has passed away, Frank cried. Oh and the last part was when Lip came to home and Fiona asked about what he did and got expelled. Lip said he won't go to school, Fiona said he either has to go school or leave the house. She told about her problems and that how much she has to work to run the family. Steve and his Portuguese wife were also present at the moment. Lip said he is not a golden goose for the family who would work hard and buy everyone houses and stuff, he doesn't want to do that which was a trash move and thinking. 

He just can't think about what the family is going through and his talent, really stupid. He said okay I'll leave the house then and does. Fiona had tears in her eyes and everyone was like damn. No one tried to stop him except Carl. Like he would stop, he didn't. Then later Frank goes to her wife's house Monica and said her mother has died crying badly. This was pretty much it about the main things that happened in this episode, this was a great episode.

 Looking at Frank's mom living last breath of life. I realized how bad can life get when you get really old, when your body just doesn't work anymore like it used to. It just sucks, you just disappear. Mickey got arrested again so I doubt his future now, at least for a long time. He is just straight up trash to be honest. Fiona seems to be hating Steve way much more now. Fiona had also left her job at the night club because of the studies and other things. Lip is gone. Crazy stuff going on man.  

EPISODE 9: HURRICANE MONICA

Episode 9 is my another favorite episode, god damn it it was so awesome. Monica is back, the mother of Gallagher kids as Frank brought her back during the end of last episode after telling her mom died and he needs her. Monica ditched her lesbian girlfriend Bob and is now staying at the Gallagher house. It begins with Monica making food in the kitchen with Frank. First Fiona comes and says what are you doing here, and she says she is back. Fiona obviously doesn't like she is back as she will leave again soon. She doesn't trust her mom anymore, soon Debbie, Ian and Carl met Monica too. 

Monica showed her affection to the kids, she said she won't leave again but time will tell. But honestly it was great seeing them reunited except one person was not present and he was Lip. He first stayed at Karen's house but Karen's mom Sheila was not ready to let him stay more and asked he will have to pay rent. Lip got angry over Karen and left and said he won't hang out with her anymore but later apologized and said he will find some other place to crash at. Next stop was Kevin and Veronica's house.

 Veronica directly said he can't stay, Lip got angry over them and then spent the night in metro alone. Felt bad for him but it is his fault, he even met that college professor and asked for some work but he said he will have to attend school first and score 4.5 plus GPA. Next stop was Steve's apartment where he stays with Estefania. Steve agreed to let him stay for some time but he will have to work for him and assigned him a job to make some voice recording hack. Something like that, now I'm gonna be honest but I got a little crush on that Estefania chick. She is just so damn wow. But she isn't as innocent she seemed being on phone. She was in fact most probably talking to her boyfriend, cheating on Steve. Lip caught her recording and translated it when he was at Steve's apartment and Estefania was pleasuring over the phone to the guy. He told Steve about it and he wasn't happy about it either. Yes he loves Fiona but Estefania is his current wife.

 Wait I shouldn't even talk about good ethics or being nice in this show lol because this is crazy. This is what makes this show so worth it. There were two house parties in this episode, first was hosted by Monica and Frank and their friends dancing, drinking and enjoying at night. It got messed up a little when Fiona interrupted and then Ian. But it was cool after that. Debbie enjoyed a lot. Next one was at the last, this time when Fiona joined and she brought Estefania with her. Such a fun moment. She was enjoying with her mother.

 Steve wasn't present in both the parties. But Frank cried in the last moment thinking about her mother passing away, he is really sad about it inside. Oh and Fiona got angry over Lip staying at Steve's apartment so she had visited it where she met Steve and Estefania and this was the moment when Steve said to take Estefania out and have fun and she joined the second house party. There was one more funny moment when Sheila thought that her house is having spirits of Eddie. It was just Frank and Monica sneaking in at night being drunk, it was hilarious and even Karen's husband believed it. I don't know the guys name so I keep calling him that lol.

 Now I totally don't feel that Lip will stay much longer at Steve's apartment and Estefania's intentions don't seem much innocent. Something is going to get messed up soon. Monica can't be so nice for long. There will be new crazy twists soon. Only three episodes and this season will end too. At first I was not enjoying season 2 but now I am totally loving it. I think it got much better. Some other moments were Ian and Monica hanging out together at a club dancing and having fun and the football match of Carl's team attended by Lip, Fiona, Estefania, Debbie and I think Ian too. Steve was the coach. I really enjoyed this episode like most of the episodes of this amazing show. This is it.
