Shameless (US) Season 2 - Episode 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Recap, Review & Personal Experience. Started Season 2 on August 21, 2020. I have covered episodes from 1 to 5 of Season 2 and gave my personal touch.

EPISODE 1 : SUMMERTIME

Talking about the first episode, the beginning of season 2. It started with Karen's father poster on a tree saying he is missing and then we see that it is not cold (winter) anymore in the setting of the new season. It is summer now, we see Sheila walking like 100 steps from her home, that's a huge improvement. Frank appears, and then Karen. Karen is into some group now and went with a guy after talking a bit with Frank. The starting felt different with the summer environment, it felt like a lot of things have happened. Then I saw Debbie, Carl and other kids having fun in the pool and then comes the scene of Fiona and Veronica working in some party hall as bartenders. Fiona is dating some new rich guy now, having fun like she totally moved on from Steve. I miss seeing Steve already. She got a new job, and felt like is doing great. Even though Fiona is dating this new guy, she had eyes on another who was the DJ. Girls having so much fun haha.

 Obviously it's obvious that Frank has to create a new problem in every episode and so he did, he made a bet with some black guy of a gang that he can't get tasered twice and the guy won. It blew everyone's mind and the incident happened in Kevin's bar. The black guy said he wants his money, and the money that was bet was 10,000 dollars. To get money, Frank took Liam from Debbie as she was running the day care. Yes there is day care going now running entirely by Debbie. So as Frank was using Liam to get money, beggar type of thing the black guy took Frank with him to his gang place and warned Frank to get him the money asap, till then Liam will be with him. That was complete wtf as he was gonna get tortured, talking about Frank here. Stupid old man. But Liam was taken great care by the black man as his kid. Rest we saw Lip and Kevin fixing the ice cream truck for a new business of selling candies and stuff. And Kevin had a huge pot farm and Lip was helping him. Ian was working at the store as usual. 

When Fiona for to know that Liam was kidnapped, she went with the kids to the black guy place and gave all the money and later the pot which Kevin gave her. Liam was free. Frank got hated more. There were a lot of scenes showing the summer environment and that so much had changed. New jobs, new ways of living and also new problems. It was just the beginning of the new season and honestly I didn't enjoy it much, maybe I will in next episodes when more things start happening. I wish Steve comes back somehow, and talking about Steve. I talked before in last season that Steve gave Tony his house next to Fiona's so Tony is living there now as the new neighbor. 

There will be a new love story later for Fiona, a nice one that is what I think. And I feel Mickey will be back soon after getting bailed from Jail and Ian will have a nice relationship with him. Debbie will probably get a young guy too like her. A lot of things felt missing in this new starting but I hope they get fulfilled. What a crazy beautiful show though, this is it for episode 1 of season 2. 

EPISODE 2: SUMMER LOVING 

Episode 2 of Season 2. Finished it just a minute ago. In this episode nothing really crazy type happened, Sheila had completed like 200 steps out of her home now and bought an eggplant which she showed Frank, he thought she will use it in him or something like that lol. Frank wasn't happy that Sheila is getting more and more out now and that she will find out who really Frank is, he was really worried about that talking at the bar with Kevin and friends. Then he heard about Dottie living her last days of life because she has like some heart problem so he decided to visit her and help her out, trying to sleep with him basically. Frank really said he might be in love with her lol. As Debbie was getting older she wanted a room alone and not with Liam who started self pleasure kind of, there was discussion about it between the brothers and sisters. Frank rented his room to some pregnant Chinese woman. 

Debbie had moved Liam to the boys room and Carl was the most unhappy about that, trying to move to New places and there he found Fiona's 2006 self thoughts diary. He found some really hilarious notes about a guy Fiona dated in high school, and told the story to the day care kids. I love Carl he is such an awesome kid. Fiona obviously caught him. This episode was really simple, at the end Lip saw Karen kissing her boyfriend for the first time while he was leaving, that broke Lip's heart and he was really upset and angry. Karen kept saying they do not have any kind of physical contact before. Another fallen soldier here. Fiona also met a new rich guy at her party hall where she works, Jasmine had hooked him up with Fiona but Fiona wasn't interested. She isn't interested in liars or guys who are married as she said. But the talks between both kind of hinted there might me more about them later, I may be completely wrong. 

You know seeing people who are married, and then they date other people secretly is kind of gross for me. I don't get this type of lifestyle, I believe in sticking with one, I mean why cheat? By the way I love the sense of humor used in the show and also the dark humor, it is pretty crazy hilarious and I am mostly like lol what. Oh and I totally forgot about seeing Aunt Ginger again in Veronica's old people nursery or whatever you call it, Veronica took all those old people out and had fun but later one person named Henry died. That was kind of sad. People get old and then they die. Everything just disappears for them, no I don't believe in seeing heaven or hell after dying or things like that. I don't believe in fairy tales like this. I said it before but saying again, man I miss the love story of Steve and Fiona, that guy was so awesome. 

And I forgot to mention one most important thing in this episode, it was Mickey finally getting out of jail and being more closer to Ian. They had a lot of gay moments, you know what I mean and Mickey works with Ian now at the store kind of. Linda agreed to let him in. Mickey seems like a really nice person, I know he will get much better. This was it for Episode 2, a simple yet nice episode. Gonna watch next. You know it is so great putting what you experienced in your own thoughts giving your own views. Beautiful.  

EPISODE 3: I WILL LIGHT A CANDLE FOR YOU EVERY DAY

Episode 3 had something I was waiting for, it happened at the end. But in this episode we saw another trash side of Frank haha but whatever he is like that. Maybe he liked Dottie but he was just kind of using her to get money and probably the house too. He stole the engagement ring from the guy who was thinking to marry Karen and engaged to Dottie by manipulating her. But he did stick to some words. Dottie had a chance to get a new heart but Frank didn't let it happen and she had to die as she told Frank to do her for the last time. 

Karen confessed to Lip that her boyfriend may propose her and they should stop doing things. Fiona's high school crush texted her and they met, had coffee, things were cool  but later found he is just so terrible when they did things in the van, it was so gross. Fiona also had stole money from a LV purse she found in the train, like 500 dollars in the purse and she spent it on buying food and giving family an amazing food treat. It was so delicious, made me hungry. After Dottie died, Frank have engagement ring back to Karen and her boyfriend. He was kinda crying and lit candles in the church, giving money but then stealing the donation box hahaha. 

Frank is a character I wish would change but I also wish he just stays like this, like he is perfect for that. During the ending Fiona was so sad, being disappointed with her high school crush. She was crying and I got that she is missing Steve. And she really called him, she said hi and he said too. He was in Costa Rica as the background showed. He didn't say much and it was just hi and bye. Then we see Steve having fun with a girl below him. Damn it Steve but it is not your fault at all, you wanted Fiona to come with you but she made the choice to not come. It is okay to move on. But man what a life you are living. 

Debbie had faced how death is like for the first time when Henry had died in the last episode, she told Veronica that there will be a time when everyone will be gone and she will be alone, that kinda felt hard. Veronica told her to think about dogs and she said I'm imagining a dog getting hit by a car, this show is really hilarious. Kevin also tried things because he wants to buy the bar from his dad Stan, but Veronica thinks it is a stupid thing as he won't be able to manage it. Maybe I'll see more about it in the later episodes.

 Now I want to mention that while I was watching this episode, I thought that maybe I am not feeling this show anymore like some things are so missing already. I might give up very soon or some things might happen later that gets me hooked again. First season was truly amazing. Second has a slow start for me. Am I gonna continue right now? Yes.  

EPISODE 4: A BEAUTIFUL MESS

Episode 4 was really good, kind of bringing my attention back to the show as more and more things have started to happen. Craig, the crush of Fiona from high school was married so her wife got to know about that, she broke into Fiona's house threatening and running after her till Fiona had to go to Frank's house. There she met Frank and Frank was like you know we are similar lol. Daughter being like dad. Sheila on the other hand got to the hairdresser this time. Sheila walking more daily with more steps is inspirational in a way, like she doesn't want to give up and have a lot of patience. There was a time when she couldn't even open the door. Even Each step a day can make a lot of difference. Really inspirational. But Frank didn't want her to reach the bar as she would know about his real identity, he tried so many things to stop her.

 Also Karen's boyfriend is kind of staying in the house now. He is a really nice guy for real, but Lip hates it a lot because he don't want Karen to get married to him. He loves her. They went to the bar together where Lip stole his purse and phone, but Karen got inside the toilet and caught him. She is so protective and is hating Lip more and more now. Fiona asked Debbie to throw a sleepover kind of party where her friends were invited, Carl's friend Little Hank and a girl named Holly was invited too who came just because to sleep with Lip. That was a funny moment.  Lots of little moments in this episode which were awesome, oh and now I see Fiona missing Steve more and more sending him voice mails but he doesn't answer which sucks. At the end Karen came and hit Lip like thrice saying stop coming between her and her boyfriend, so basically the story between Lip and her seems to be over now. 

Maybe something changes later, but if I give my views I don't think Lip deserves Karen. He should find someone new and move on. Let Karen do and be with whoever she wants. This episode was really funny with the jokes and dark humor, especially Frank being Frank. I love this thing about the show the most. Debbie's sleepover party was a mess after Lip just totally rejected to sleep with Holly. It just went nuts. But Debbie likes this Little Hank kid now. So you see, we may see more about this later. During the ending, we see one more major thing. It was the morning when Sheila said today she is going to the bar and asked Frank to come too, Frank was like this is the end and packed up but as Sheila moved out and started walking, a plane crashed and its landing wheels fell straight next to Sheila. She got shocked and ran back to her house, Frank thanked God. What an awesome moment lol. This episode was pretty nice and this is it. If I have to guess, Sheila won't move out of her house again for some time and she will be like Frank you were right about me getting injured outside. I am seeing more character development now, as things are moving with each episode and the jokes are still hilarious as they were in previous episodes. I literally laugh man. Fiona cried twice in this episode, I felt bad for her. That is all I want to say about this episode.  

EPISODE 5: FATHER'S DAY

Episode 5 is going to be my favorite, it was a lot. It started with Eddie's body being found by a guy on his yacht and then it was reported to the police. Soon officer came to Sheila's house and everyone got to know about it, including Frank. Sheila was sad about it, Karen was happy. She always hated her dad. Frank saw an opportunity to get life insurance money of Eddie if he gets access to some papers, also it was shown that Karen is now pregnant with someone who could be Lip or even Frank, or her boyfriend. Lip wasn't happy to hear about it, then he gets to know Karen is getting maried soon too.

 A lot of things happening for the boy. Frank was arrested and detective there showed video of him being with Karen, the Daddygirlz video but he got rid of it as Karen said she used Frank and it wasn't his fault at all. Frank thanked Karen and Karen was like thanks for ending my father which to some extent was true, it was the video that may have pushed him to take that decision of ending everything. Lip had got offer from the West Point but not Ian, Lip was doing it for Ian but instead he got selected. That made Ian angry and he fought with Lip over saying that Lip may not even know that Karen's brother is his brother or son.

 Debbie wasn't happy with her looks and she wanted to attract Little Hank so she took tips from Fiona but it didn't work so she went to Mickey's sister I forgot her name. That little girl wants to be someone she isn't yet like she is so young lol but the environment around her makes her want to be it. Fiona had good time with that rich guy named Richard as he took her to a wedding but there things messed up after a stupid guy, but Richard still won her. He seems to be a great guy, and he is mature and smart. Lip had got beaten up by some random guy at the open party because he was angry about Karen being with that new guy. Poor Lip. 

Love can really screw you, I can relate to that. More things had happened in this episode but the best part was at the end, first it was Karen peeing on her father's Grave and when Richard dropped Fiona to her home, there she saw a guy. That made me smile and be so happy. He was Steve, like he is back to the town. She saw him and she was so surprised and instantly became happy, Steve was too saying hi and stuff and that he was looking for Tony. Steve even complimented her and Fiona's face made me just feel that moment. She waited so long for him and now he is back. I really like that guy, but let's see what happens next and that she is seeing Richard now. And what will Tony think of that? He isn't even shown much anymore. 

Whatever, love is powerful. At least in the movies or shows and I know things may work nice later, at least for some more time. I missed that chemistry between Steve and Fiona, and Debbie kind of got attention of Little Hank too as he gave her a flower. This show is getting on me now, I love the overall experience so much. I will miss it when it all will be finished. For now, it is just enjoying the moment.
