Sleeping 6 Hours per day for about a week

Sleeping 6 Hours per day for about a week.. it's cool I am at least getting some ideas to blog about. Last year 2019, I probably slept more than 12 hours a day for more than 100 days, but 12 hours of sleep is oversleeping. Like too much sleep. Maybe not 100 days but I spent almost every day of my summer break sleeping alot. I would go sleep at 11-12 night and wake up at 12pm or sometimes up to 2pm next day. It's wasting more than half of your day just doing nothing but sleeping. It's a total waste as now I think.



But this recent week has been different or say February in general. When I stay at home I sleep alot, like 10 hours minimum. I am a very lazy person and I love sleep too much lol, I guess most people do. But since I started going back to college and staying at PG, my sleep habits changes. At home I am not able to stay late at night but I can wake up later. At PG I sleep at late night but I have to wake up at a fixed scheduled time, I definitely don't want to miss even a single class because of my screwed attendance. Amity University is very strict for attendance.

This recent week, when I stayed at PG. I would go to sleep at about 1:30am - 2:00am everyday (night) and wake up at 7:30 - 8:00am morning. Which is around 6 hours of sleep. And I realized that I do not feel very lazy, I can get through my entire day on just 6 hours of sleep instead of 12 hours of sleep I do when I have off and I am at my home. Doctors and experts say young adults need at least 7-8 hours of sleep everyday in order to live a healthy life. I don't disagree with that, but living with just 6 hours of sleep I didn't notice much difference. Except today I am feeling I need a very good sleep because I am back at home lol. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day but who cares I am single like every year.

Even my personal doctor (neuro) says that I get 6-8 hours of sleep everyday. He mentions it Everytime I go for checkup. He doesn't says boy sleep at least 8 hours or sleep 12 hours haha. So I guess I can do well, my body just needs to adapt this. In fact I feel very fresh at morning after waking up, most of the time. Maybe today I may sleep for 12 hours again, or maybe I should control and not go beyond 8 hours.

This post is nothing special, just sharing my sleep experience and thinking. I really love thinking that we spend almost half of our life sleeping, or 3-4/10. I am not good with Maths please. I need to do more and sleep less.
