My Experience with Amity University Admission (NOIDA) - THOUGHTS OF ARPIT CHAUDHARY PRO_RAZE
3 February 2019 6:39PM: Last time I updated this sweet blog I had made for sharing my thoughts was um... 15 January 2019. It's quite a while I know but damn I am such a lazy person, it's alright for me to update my meme blog which doesn't requires any writing effort so that is definitely a regular habit lol.
Well I am not gonna get into that, I just wanted to share my little experience regarding admission with my current university which is Amity University located in Noida. I am a Bachelor of Hotel Management Student (BHM) and well Semester 1 has already passed and I am on Sem 2 now. I remember a year ago around at this time between January-February I was researching about colleges I could get into and the nice ones and i came across Amity Noida which is one of the most recognized university of India, it's a brand name and also one of the most expensive private universities. I still little can't believe I am studying here and my parents getting to afford it (had problems with paying fees but ok). I was a science student before with Physics, Chemistry and Maths with English, Phy Ed and Music as side subjects, passed with like 65% best 5. At first when I was focused on getting into Amity, i got the idea to do BBA course which is business management, back in May I had applied for it and also gave interview, test and stuff. I remember that day was so exciting being in that university, which was like a dream for me. IIT or IIM or anything else most indians follow wasn't on my mind, no government colleges, I didn't give a damn about them haha because I knew I am just too incapable to crack the exams and well honestly, don't have no interest I just needed a good private university where I can have a great life so Amity was it.
You know after I gave my BBA test and interview at Amity, next day at morning I checked microsite and I was rejected and that was a very disappointing moment for me. The reason for rejection was that I actually got failed in Maths during my 12th boards I didn't want to give compartment exam and well I was just sad. I thought of reapplying with some other course so I tried BCOM Hons and BCA as well and couldn't make it, main reason was failing in Maths until my dad asked Amity's admission office on the courses I could choose from after not taking Maths as the subject. I had 6 subjects and I was failed in one so overall my result was passed and they give me a few options including tourism, hospitality, journalism etc.
Now I was happy because I had hope lol to get into the college, my dad suggested me to opt for Hotel Management because of its world wide wider scope and hotels are everywhere and so is guest service. It's my dream to travel the world as well and BHM could help me to achieve that dream, I applied for BHM now and soon enough got another call to attend the test and personal interview, second time I went there and this time everything went smooth taking test and even the personal interview which was easy. Last time in BBA i had messed it up due to nervousness, my interview was taken by one of my faculty program leader Ajeet Singh. He was the very first faculty I met who soon would be teaching me.
I could write alot more on the admission of Amity Noida but I guess that should be enough, in a few days I checked Amity microsite and this time I was accepted, finally my dream came true. It was such a happy moment for me, 19th July 2018 was the date I had to attend the orientation program of BHM at I block, Amity School of Hospitality. I also remember filling up many forms and affidavits, adhar card printouts, copies of marksheets of my 10th and 12th result and much more. The registration process took some time. I met my very first friends there during orientation and now today, I am loving my college. I love Amity University, Noida! I made some really amazing memories and experiences with this college already and I am on Sem 2 only out of Sem 8. I don't think I could get a better college experience than this or even If I did I don't care. I am happy with what I have!
